Rackspace named third in Singapore’s Great Places to Work

We are delighted to announce that Great Places to Work® Singapore has named Rackspace as third Best Workplace™ in the Small Workplace category for 2019. The Great Place to Work list recognizes companies with high-trust and high-performing workplace cultures, based on anonymous survey feedback from employees. This recognition is, therefore, a testament to our efforts to empower Rackers to do whatever is necessary to deliver a Fanatical Experience™.

Rackspace is no stranger to the Great Places to Work list in Asia-Pacific, with the Australian office featuring in the top 20 for the last seven years and taking the 13th spot on Australia’s Best Place to Work in the “Under 100 employees” category last month. We were also ranked 9th on last year’s list of Best Workplaces in Asia.

Rackspace’s belief that each employee should be able to express their identity freely and bring their whole selves to work is what makes this organization stand out amongst the crowd. The reason is simple: People perform their best when they feel good throughout their day.

Our Singapore office opened only two years ago and is made up of a diverse workspace, which champions inclusiveness. Our differences in background, experiences, skills, and more can empower us to think out of the box and generate innovative ideas to help customers achieve their goals. In 2019, we’ve been able to achieve many things, and my highlights include:

Rackers are fun, collaborative, and a rare breed. We have one thing in common – our drive for success as a unified team. The culture, the people, and the opportunity Rackspace has to offer have had a huge impact on me. There is a saying ‘Once a Racker, Always a Racker’. Regardless of where we are located, we have a common understanding and trust.

Joni Ong, Managing Director Great Place to Work® Institute Singapore, explains why Rackspace should be included on the Best Workplaces list for 2019: “Delivering a ‘Fanatical Experience’ to customers is a mantra taken seriously at Rackspace. Every Racker (employee) is imbued with this ethos – every day, they live out the values and culture so deliberately cultivated at all levels.”

“Treated like family, Rackers are inspired to avail of their talents, diligence, and resilience to every situation so that challenges are overcome, tasks are completed, fellow Rackers are taken care of, and all customers are fanatically served! Fun, camaraderie, caring, recognition and open communication abound in this workplace where Rackers lament that the awesome Rackspace culture has ruined them for future workplace cultures! Indeed, a great enough reason why Rackspace is ranked among the Best Workplaces of 2019!”

This acknowledgment is a true testimony to the strength of our hardworking team and their values. This award belongs to the Singapore Rackers, who have made a commitment to others – be it their teams, clients, or stakeholders – and contributed to our business success.

And to all the Rackers out there, thank you for making Rackspace a Great Place to Work!
