Infrastructure and Application Managed Services

Run your business. We’ll run the technology behind it.

Rackspace operates your infrastructure, applications, data and security as one accountable service. Embedded engineers work with AI-driven operations to reduce downtime, control costs and give your teams more time to focus on business priorities.

Give your teams more time for the priorities that move the business forward

Downtime costs an average of $5,600 a minute, while 83% of organizations report skills gaps in the teams responsible for managing increasingly complex environments. Cloud delivers greater scale and cost efficiency when infrastructure, applications, data and security operate as one coordinated environment.

How we deliver

Combine engineering expertise with AI-driven operations

Dedicated engineers who know your environment work with an AI operations platform that handles operational volume at scale, freeing them to focus their expertise and judgment where it adds the most value.

Rackspace Elastic Engineering pods

Multidisciplinary teams work within your environment across infrastructure, DevOps, data, security and applications. Capacity flexes with your priorities while the team remains consistent, building knowledge of your environment over time.

Rackspace AI Ops Platform

Automated processes handle operational volume at scale, correlating and enriching alerts, tracing root causes across dependencies and updating runbooks from successful resolutions. Operational knowledge stays in the platform and grows with every resolution.

Security strategy, posture and compliance

Defined service levels, a single view across your environment and one team to call bring operations together. Rackspace takes accountability for cost, reliability and compliance across the environments and systems we manage.

Securing AI

Automate at scale within the limits you define

Rule-based workflows automate repeatable work, while AI-driven workflows handle more complex activity. Policy guardrails, approval gates and human-in-the-loop controls govern every action. You define which systems the platform can access, which workflows it can run and where human approval is required.

Customer-defined policies and escalation thresholds

Automation scope controls and approval gates

Audit-ready logging for every action

Isolated customer tenants with read-only access by default

Rackspace has done a superb job with the SDDC migration, with excellent project governance, hitting milestones on time and with minimal disruption to business as usual.

Rackspace Elastic Engineering gives you a dedicated, multidisciplinary pod that works within your environment across infrastructure, DevOps, data, security and applications. Capacity flexes with your priorities while the team and its knowledge of your environment remain consistent.

The Rackspace AI Ops Platform correlates and enriches alerts, traces root causes across dependent systems, maintains runbooks from successful resolutions and automates routine remediation. Rule-based workflows run by default, while AI-driven workflows operate within policy guardrails, approval gates and human-in-the-loop controls.

Only within the boundaries you define. Access is read-only by default, automation scope is customer-defined and actions outside that scope route to a person for approval.

No. Customer data is not used to train AI models. Each customer operates in a separate, isolated tenant, and the platform architecture has been reviewed by the Rackspace security team.

No. It is included as part of the standard Rackspace managed services setup.

Yes. Rackspace supports fully managed and co-managed models. Many customers retain architecture and application ownership while Rackspace handles day-to-day operations, with responsibilities defined up front and managed through a shared workflow.

Yes. Rackspace operates Epic EMR environments for healthcare providers, core banking platforms for regulated financial institutions and mission-critical systems for energy companies, with governance, sovereignty and compliance requirements integrated into daily operations.
